    • Watch a single turbo upgraded 335i N54 run and beat liter bikes on the highway

This 335i looks very healthy based on the video. This is the same 335i many of you know that showed 753 horsepower to the wheels last month and if you doubted that there is some serious power there allow the runs in the video below to alleviate any concerns. The two liter bikes going up against the 335i are a basically stock Honda CBR1000 (with a slip on exhaust) and the camera bike is a modified Yamaha R1.

The R1 is on E85 fuel. It also has an aftermarket cylinder head, forged pistons, full exhaust, and a tune. The 335i has the following:

Custom Top Mount 6466 by John Donovan.
Clutch Masters FX400 6 puc clutch.
      STOCK MOTOR!
      Dual CM10 Meth nossels
      100% meth
      Gulf Mach 116 race fuel
      29 PSI of boost.
      Jb4 g5
      BB Flash

These are some seriously fast bikes but this is also a seriously fast 335i. It does very well against the bikes dispatching the CBR1000 surprisingly easily and it is the R1 that puts up a very good fight. People will be quick to point out that the quality of the riders makes a big difference and it certainly does. That said, what happens in the video is what happens and we see a high horsepower car running with liter bikes on the highway and even beating them.

This type of race will usually favor a car as the drag on a bike at higher speeds is greater than the car and it grows geometrically as speeds rise. Yes, cars can bikes can be beat on the highway and this is nothing new.

The 335i does very well. Great video from BimmerBoost member @aflatau

A well ridden liter bikes moves beyond some peoples imagination. I ran an ess 625 car and gave him the hit the other day and just utterly smashed on him. He trapped 129. My bike will pull it's ass off until 175-180 and then the speed slowly tapers off until 192-193 where it's not moving any faster.

        Cool story bro

that car prob did not trap over 150, yet it seems to pull all the bikes no problem on the top end. wat?

        huge disadvantage for the car*

if the coefficient of drag is only double when the surface area is 1/3 or less, the advantage is vastly in the bikes favour :/

and if you look down that link, some bikes are in the 0.3x range!

and remember, F1 cars are .7-1.1, but because they have next to no surface area along with vast power+high redline, they still have great high speed acceleration and top speed.

        Good work @aflatau

It can be argued all week but at the end of the day props to op as he I and are the only single turbo people consistently posting race videos. And we are both custom kits. Go figure lol

        Keep it up adam

        Very true.

Everyone else just sits back and says, 'oh that was weak oh those bikes are weak oh you couldn't beat this or that or a mythical dragon' and don't do anything themselves.

Guy beat the bikes he raced. Let's see some other N54's race some liter bikes with 'bad' riders and see how they fare.

Here's the problem. Most fast cars will not run bikes with good riders. Me, prime example, last weekend was at a meet where I in person asked Spoolbus to run. He said once again he does not like to race bikes. I then asked the ESS car to run, he wouldn't run me, sat around for an hour and then it started drizzling, well I decided to roll out when he did just to attempt to get a run in, I asked a monte to run he said he would but never got in contact, I asked the Turbo Shu for a run, he left after he saw the first signs of rain and when it cleared up never came back, I've asked so many people to run and it's always something.

Point being, they will only run the ones that have zero experience, or the ones with broke dick riding skills. They will not challenge the ones who have a clue. I've asked countless amounts of people to fun runs and same answer every time.

**** Isn't there a single turbo fast one down in Houston? Someone set that race up for me on July 4th weekend.

        I feel you man.

You have as much a chance of getting a st n54 to run you as I do getting a sc'd e9x M3 to run me. Lolol

I'll have things sorted out soon, I finally got one clean pull in tonight and holy $#@! did the car feel great...but lets not talk about the rest of the attempts...about ready to explore stand alone options

That's a bad ass BMW!!!! No excuses,he drug those bikes down the road..end of story.

BUT,all liter bikes are not created equally. Slowest/least HP have historically been the CBR&R1. Ive never seen an R1 trap anywhere near the 150s,let alone a CBR. Even modded, they just don't make power like the Kaws&Zuks do.

In regards to bike aero,it does definitely take a huge toll compared to a car but that doesn't mean they don't pull hard up top&not as much as you guys are making it out to be. The bike isn't going to fall on its face at 150mph,there are 2 bonestock literbikes that will trap 150 in the 1/4.
A bolt on Busa will pull 195-199mph in the standing mile, and so will the new ZX 10R's&S1K's.

Im not taking anything away from the OP's vid,as he CLEARY assraped those bikes and even with a 120lb jockey they still would have lost...just adding some info that's all Click here to enlarge

Lol really? Im sorry but theres so many obvious signs that these bikes are startin in wrong gea/not riding as fast as possible its pathetic. But if this is how you get your rocks off I guess whatever floats your boat!
        A) why do the bikes start off in 5th gear instead of starting off in 2nd or so like they should?
        B) Why can you not even HEAR the bikes next to car when supposedly revved out AND have exhaust? Lol, thats a tad bit odd?!
        C) why when you "take off" for ~3 seconds then let off, why do bikes still sound low rpm yet thwy havent shifted?? Lol.. I know why!
If you destroy all these litre bikes come destroy me, ill wven put down money so if your video is real itll be as easy as meeting up to pick up cash! Ill even commute a bit if youre a bit away.. HTFU I call your video BS!

You say its weak but its still a SC E92 M3 with meth injection tuned by Gintani.. Not even a race for me but it still makes 550+whp.. For a DD IMO its a great car!
