• Renntech previews their upcoming W212 E63 AMG S 4Matic M157 turbocharger upgrade package showing over 850 horsepower

      Renntech already has a turbo upgrade package available for M157 motors but this is for the pre-facelift 63 AMG models that were rear wheel drive. In the USA the CLS63 AMG and E63 AMG are now only available in 4Matic all wheel drive and Mercedes put in torque limits to protect the drivetrain. This means tuners have had to change their approach on the 4Matic cars and change their software in order to get around these torque limitations.

      Renntech has been working on a new turbocharger upgrade package for the 4Matic cars. Changes include a bigger custom turbine shaft, different compressor wheel, and different software. An official announcement on this new M157 turbo upgrade package is coming but Renntech previewed on the BenzBoost Mercedes AMG Performance forums that this package is showing over 850 horsepower:


      That is at the crank mind you and not at the wheels. Still, the increase over stock is impressive especially the area through the curve from 2500 rpm on. A BenzBoost member in Russia is already running a pre-production version of this turbo package with some custom changes and he has shown some impressive results.

      Take a look at his E63 AMG S 4Matic pulling away from a Lamborghini Aventador on the highway as well as a tuned Nissan GTR and a supercharged C63 AMG. The updated Renntech M157 turbo package certainly looks potent.

        Holy $#@!. 1187 torque? My god. This might be the new king of the turbo upgrades...however if it's priced like Renntech is usually priced it will also be the most expensive.

        I think that is newton meters. It works out to about 875 lb-ft.

        Are there any comparisons on the differences between Renntech, Weistec, AMS, and GAD turbo upgrades?

        There was some info re this. Anyway in brief my RT and AMS are both ball-bearing setups. As for GAD - no info. Weistec and Brabus are journal bearing setups.

        My e63 S wagon goes from 0-100 km/h in 3,2 s in Sport+, standard it was 4,1 s.

        It's hard to make those kind of races happen. Both companies have solid upgrades out there for a variety of platforms.

        Unfortunately it is difficult to find some one with Weistec upgrade on M157 in Moscow. But soon there will be a race against C63 Weistec 3.0 ca. 750hp. Will keep you posted.

        How is a stock E63 s dynoing 660hp based on the dyno above?

        You gotta love the BS that comes out of superflow dynos

        @SLS Sorry but Superflow is a very accurate Dyno, when operator works correctly.Not much difference to Maha when comparing Crank HP. Rwhp cannot be compared between these two.Different system.

        No it isnt. Its in airflow base dyno and you can restrict/unrestrict air or even maximize airflow whenever you desire.

        Why couldnt you answer the question as to why the stock E63 was showing 660hp??? ......You see what I mean?

        In Moscow ;-). Planned on Wednesday. There will be my E63 Renntech 4matic 850, E63 RWD Brabus 900, RS7 APR/Total race 800+, Golf HGP 750, Ferrari Speziale, Ferrari F12, C63 Weistec 3.0. stay tuned ;-)

        Talk to Jimmy Pelka and ask him if HENNI Dyno in Wernau is one of the best proven and respected Dynos in Germany. This is a superflow. He knows him because he comes from this area.

        I was asking the same after I saw this and was told by RENNtech that the base run of Vasily's E63S was like the car came in with stock ECU, decat and upgraded turbos... Don't know more details about this case.

        Superflow is exact for sure. I had my E63BT on the RENNtech dyno in Germany around a year ago and stock it showed 561PS at crank (EWG corrected) and it is rated 557PS so for me that's as exact as it can be...Click here to enlarge

        Guys, the setup was on upgraded Gorilla turbos and decatted stock downpipes, but ECU was brought to stock. Hence it showed more than stock 585hp. They compared what they got from me with upgraded hardware with what they got finally.
