    • GIAC releases Stage I software tuning for the 2014 B8 Audi A4 and Allroad 2.0T motor, 43 wheel horsepower increase

Good work here from GIAC for the 2014 A4 and Allroad models with 2.0T motors. GIAC managed to get some nice gains on 91 octane pump gas. The A4 test car put down 172 wheel horsepower and 213 pound-feet of torque completely stock on the AWE-Tuning Mustang dyno at all four wheels. What did the GIAC tune increase this to? 215 wheel horsepower and 254 lb-ft of torque for gains of 43 horsepower and 41 lb-ft of torque respectively.

This A4 is a manual car and the numbers for an automatic will likely be a bit lower. GIAC also has a flash-loader available with a 100 octane race gas map (not dyno'd for whatever reason) as well as 'stock' and 'valet' mode for the situations that warrant it.

The flash loader is not mandatory at $650. You can opt for a single map without the convenience of switching maps for $495.00. The convenience and safety offered with multiple maps and hand held flash loading more than warrants the price difference.
