    • BimmerBoost will no longer accept Powerchip as a supporting vendor

Over the past couple of weeks on various forums, Powerchip has engaged in a smear campaign against Gintani and OE Tuning. This behavior is a violation of our vendor rules and simply will no longer be tolerated. BimmerBoost will not serve as a battleground for supporting vendors to fight amongst themselves. This fighting was largely one sided with Powerchip continually attacking the two previously mentioned vendors as well as BimmerBoost users who were former customers. We will not allow this to continue especially considering that Powerchip has failed to pay its supporting vendor fees and has exhausted BimmerBoost generosity and patience. Powerchip continued to attack other supporting vendors while stalling to pay their invoice and has abused the courtesy shown to them.

For those who may not be aware, a battle has been taking place behind the scenes for months now. When Powerchip first came to BimmerBoost, they were engaged in yet another battle. BimmerBoost provided Powerchip with the support and information that was requested. We will not get into exactly what went on behind the scenes as we have no desire to air Powerchip's dirty laundry in public. What did take place left Powerchip in a weakened financial position and BimmerBoost took Powerchip at its word stating they would pay their fees as soon as their mess was cleaned up. Powerchip has enjoyed almost 6 months of free sponsorship at this point and has abused it. BimmerBoost has done business with Powerchip in the past and never failed to pay Powerchip for the services provided. BimmerBoost has referred customers and supported Powerchip wholeheartedly with the best of intentions. BimmerBoost will no longer allow Powerchip to attack paying vendors while advertising for free and failing to honor its commitment.

I speak on behalf of all users when I write we are sick of it. We don't want any more of this "he said, she said" drama. Jeremy Flemming who was in Powerchip's employ in the past has moved on to run his own business, OE Tuning. Powerchip can not seem to come to terms with this and instead of competing with OE Tuning they are setting out to destroy it and the character of the owner with a smear campaign. This action simply has backfired and has cast Powerchip in a negative light portraying the company as bitter, petty, and possessive. This is not professional behavoir and this is not behavior that BimmerBoost encourages or expects of its vendors. When a thread escalating the issue was closed after OE Tuning and Powerchip both had their say, Powerchip complained they were not allowed to continue to wage their war. We find it disappointing that Powerchip stalled in responding to their invoice solely to use that time to attack OE Tuning and their former employee.

In case anyone has not noticed, a large power shift has taken place in German performance automobile tuning in the California market. This power shift is currently spreading through the entire USA. Powerchip has lost their tuner, has lost Race Precision as a distrubutor, and is losing customer after customer. Their last refuge seems to be Evosport who is helping Powerchip by preventing OE Tuning from advertising in any way on mbworld likely due to outstanding financial obligations with Powerchip.

Instead of retooling and offering better products and support, Powerchip has lashed out determined to pull others down. Supporting vendors are to conduct business as professionals. We want to see the products and results of the vendor, not petty bickering. Powerchip continues to tear down bridge after bridge instead of building them up and they have burnt the one they had here. Powerchip is no longer a tuning powerhouse and not in a position to be dictating any rules to BimmerBoost or anyone else for that matter. Our advice is for Powerchip to stop pointing a finger at everyone else and to point it where it belongs, at themselves.

We thank Powerchip for... well, we will simply thank Powerchip for their interest because it is the right thing to do. We wish Powerchip the best but as of this moment Powerchip is no longer a supporting vendor on BimmerBoost and will revert to the guest vendor tier and all past posts and threads will be edited accordingly to make them compliant with the rules for guest vendors. All tuning that was referred to Powerchip will be referred to BimmerBoost supporting vendors instead at this time. I want to thank all of our vendors for behaving like professionals and resisting the temptation to get involved in this ugly situation. BimmerBoost will no longer be accepting vendors based on their word even if we have done business with them in the past. A much more strict interpretation of the vendor guidelines will now be administered and we will be eliminating this particular episode of vendor drama permanently.

I want to personally thank Matt and Mike at Powerchip who are not at fault here. I consider Matt a friend and believe he has dealt remarkably well with what has been a difficult situation placed upon his shoulders. I do not fault him in any way and he is not responsible for any of this.

We thank our users for their understanding and patience in this matter,

Pretty lame for a vendor to constantly bash other vendors every chance they get.

We definitely dont need any of that.
