Now, this car no doubt runs very strong but the issue with overseas timeslips is that the their timing equipment often differs from NHRA approved equipment in the United States. That said, Yas Marina is an NHRA certified dragstrip. BenzBoost is not able to explain why this trap speed is so much higher than other recorded runs in the United States but the Yas Marina strip seems to be using different timing equipment.
The reason the trap speed is believed to be on the high side here is due to being put in context against the M157 trap speed record help by Renntech at 137 miles per hour with upgraded turbos. Obviously the stock turbos will not make as much power or torque as the upgraded units and there should be a much larger difference than two miles per hour. The only other explanation would be the car not running stock turbos.
Regardless, this is a very quick and fast run and PP-Performance is clearly tuning these motors well. Congratulations to all involved.
