• First successful 4.0 TFSI V8 RS6 to S6 turbocharger swap - MRC Tuning Audi S6 4.0 TFSI tuned for upgraded turbochargers

This seems to be flying under the radar for whatever reason but should be monumental news for the Audi tuning community. This S6 belongs to Sportmile Polska and is tuned by MRC Tuning. The turbochargers are apparently from the RS6 and it would appear they bolt on without issue. MRC Tuning was able to tune the S6 for the RS6 turbos and the result is 548.6 horsepower at the wheels according to the Polish dyno although AudiBoost is not familiar with the dynamometer used.

The dyno reads the wheel horsepower out corrected as 701.7 to the crank. Assuming the crank reading is accurate that is an additional ~280 horsepower over stock. The dual clutch transmission has not been upgraded for the additional power and torque and seems to be holding it at this point.

Budget RS6? With the addition of a dual clutch transmission? Sure looks like it. There is a video with and without launch control of acceleration from a stop as well as the dynograph below.

Twin turbo V8, what more could the heart of a man desire? I know the speedometer in in km/h but with a proper launch, 0-60 mph in under 3 seconds looks possible I think.

I think the amazing part here is that someone already tuned for a turbo swap. Not to mention the turbo swap seemed to be drama free and it turned the S6 into an RS6 just like that.

I hope that was wheelspin and not clutch destruction in gears 1 & 2 of the launch control test.

Seemed like it was a bit hard on the clutches and hit the limiter pretty hard too.

        this is definitely great news.l

goes back to when you could swap RS4 turbos onto the S4 for easier/cheap horsepower boosts.

I can't wait to see some big turbo upgrades on these latest gen engines. Wonder how much headroom is left in the fueling on the S6. Also wonder what the torque figures are, especially since the trans may be handling it for the time being.

The torque figures are in newton-meters on the graph.

Rs6 is 10x more sexy than any of the gran coupes besides m6. The cla is worst of them all, follwed by rs7. The cla looks like a pinched turd.

Why? Because of the styling? You could do the same thing with an S7 that is done here.

IDK, nothing objective I guess, I just think the S6 is gorgeous and I love sleepers.

So you mean to tell me I could have a S6 avant, Awd DCT. Do the RS6 turbo swap and have a wagon monster with DCT for $#@!s and giggles?

why even bother with the RS7 with a tune? I mean I'll just have them both. A wagon for fun and a RS7 because well it's an RS7!
