    • BBi Autosport takes two Cobb Accessport tuned 997.1 Turbos to the 1/4 mile dragstrip - One on E85 and the other on race gas

Hot on the heels of the Cobb Tuning announcement that the V3 Accessport is available for the 997.1 Turbo platform we have some 1/4 mile results with it. BBi Autosport took two 997.1 turbos to the drag strip. One is equipped with their E85 conversion package and was run on the stock turbos. The other features the BBi B7 package which PorscheBoost believes has modified turbochargers but this car was not on ethanol.

BBi did not specify which car was which so PorscheBoost is left to guess that car 465, the white 997.1 Turbo, is the E85 car on stock turbos. The faster grey car (number 508) likely has the B7 package with modified turbochargers. PorscheBoost has not be able to get a response from BBi for clarification but the timeslips speak for themselves.

10.232 @ 129.60 for the white car and 10.871 @ 132.66 for the grey car. These results show that Cobb Tuning for the 997.1 Turbo is the real deal and quite effective. Check out the timeslips below.

Grey car is actually the one on stock turbos. The white car was apparently closing throttle during the run, resulting in the slower times.

Thank you Thomas. That makes the E85 tune even more impressive IMO.

That 10.8 is impressive for just a re-tune.
Now, give the Cayman S this 911 Turbo drivetrain and I'll buy one.

Until then, the 911 is just an overpiced Cayman with the engine in the wrong place.

Looks like some great times to me. If Cobb just released this and it's already being used on upgraded turbo'd cars, that's awesome. I'm not familiar enough with what these types of upgrades yield on other tunes, so hard for me to compare to the rest of the market, but doesn't sound like a whole lot of work on the white car to run 10's, so I'd be happy.

Tiptronic or manual? Its great to see Cobb support 997.1 turbos and the GT2. Thinking of possibly picking up one of these come April/May as a shop car.
