BimmerBoost was not able to locate a dyno of the car to substantiate the claims of 600 horsepower at the tire but there is little reason to doubt a blown 7.0 liter LSX V8 putting out that kind of power. It is fed through a T-56 manual transmission to the factory rear differential. The blower appears to be a unit from The Blower Shop in Simi, California.
Some will say this is no longer a BMW and that much more power can be made with the stock S54 six-cylinder than 600 wheel. Some will say this is what boost is all about. There is no denying it is different. There definitely is some red blooded American appeal to a huge blower sticking through the hood letting the world know you mean business.
