    • Stock Porsche 991 turbo 60-130 run time - 8.5 seconds

Champion Motorsport got their hands on a Porsche 991 Turbo (standard model, not the S) to use as a project car. Last month they took this stock 991 Turbo to the drag strip and ran a 10.9 @ 126 at the PBIR (Palm Beach International Raceway) 1/4 mile dragstrip in Florida. Before starting with the tuning they also did a stock 60-130 run and posted the graph. The result? A very respectable 8.5 second spring from 60 to 130 miles per hour.

To put this time in perspective a stock previous generation 997.2 Turbo with PDK has done the same spring in 8.79 seconds. The new 991 Turbo and the previous generation 997 Turbo PDK cars are fairly close and the new car is marginally quicker. Porsche offers incremental upgrades in performance consistently upgrading their cars bit by bit.

Here are a few other 60-130 times for context. Keep in mind conditions such as weather and elevation are large variables:

      7.8 - Stock C6 ZR1
      7.8 - LP640 Murcielago
8.28 - ECU Tuned Panamera Turbo
      8.51 - FBO on C63 AMG
      9.4 - Stock 2012 Nissan GTR
      9.42 - Stock Cadillac CTS-V
