• COBB Releases N55 Accesstuner Pro and updated N55 OTS maps!!

      COBB is excited to announce substantial updates for the BMW platform! Available immediately are updated N55 OTS maps including Stage2+FMIC along with Accesstuner Pro support. The N54 software is also receiving a minor update to available tables. These N54 tables include new ignition timing discoveries and are hit in very rare cases, but we want customers to have access to anything that may help a particular vehicle. We also created 3D fuel scalar tables for all rom versions. This will allow better control of fuel trims with more precision than the old single cell value.

      N55 Map Updates:
      We have implemented new DME logic that solves potential load calculation issues. If you are currently running a v100 map you will need to completely uninstall the Accessport from your vehicle and reinstall using an updated v200 map.

      In order to take advantage of these updates, please ensure your Accessport Manager software is updated first, followed up by updating Accessport firmware using Accessport Manager.

      Note: Due to new DME logic, we are no longer providing a Stage0 map for N55 only.

        sorry i didn't really follow the twins or hybrid tuning methods ... im curious...

        because how would anyone really utilize cobb with aftermarket twins or hybrids with a boost limit , i think on AT right? of 19-20 or so?

        Just read over the N55 ATP help file, it appears that tuning on the N55 will be much easier than on the N54. I'm really beginning to think that a N55 powered car might be in my future... Powered by VTT of course.

        how were the hybrids tuned to 24psi with the boost limit flash only?
        The boost limit only affects end users, special certified ProTuners have access to go above the OEM 20 psi boost limit. I'm gonna imagine it's more of a safety buffer so nobody runs 22+ psi on stockers and then blames COBB when they fail.

        So does COBB encrypt the downloaded stock software? This means if one wants to make outside modifications to the bin file is not allowed?

        Dude, how did you miss the startup video? Jason from BMS sent his e90 335 to VTT and had the turbo installed. $#@! is done son, just needs to be tuned.

        I am running N54 Stage 1+ ST Aggressive. I downloaded the new firmware to AP but after updating firmware my ROM-specific maps have the same version number (V4.02) as before firmware update. I thought there is an update for N54 as well from reading above. What am I missing?

        The N54 updates are all ATR/ATP related. The OTS maps have not changed.

        This does not work on all N55 engines, right? Can you clarify on the models this works/doesn't work?
        I believe this doesn't work on any Bmw my 2012, 2013 and 2014, but works on all N55 engined BMWs my 2011 or older? Please correct me if I'm wrong.

        It will work on 2011's and some 2012's. BMW changed the DME mid-year of 2012, then again for the F30's. Feel free to send me the last 7 digits of your VIN if you have a 2012 and I can verify which DME you have.

        To what? After 6500 RPMs and stock turbos, both motors are being run outside their powerband, boost is being tapered back down, and you should be shifting into the next gear so you're back in the meat of the boost curve + powerband

        Tried is from an iMac and a Windows PC but result is the same.
        Is this correct?
