    • Video of the 773 wheel horsepower E9X M3 world record Gintani Stage 3.5+ Vortech YSI supercharged S65 V8 Dynojet dyno pull

When you're on the top people want to take shots, simply how it is. Gintani is setting records and doing things with the S65 V8 that no other tuner is even remotely close to. In addition to having the first Vortech YSI built motor M3 supercharged setups and the E9X M3 horsepower world record they are also in the process of bringing a S65 V8 twin turbo kit to market which no other tuner offers. Certain fanboys of another company instead of respecting the work involved and achievements made decide to disparage this work. Hey, that simply comes with the territory.

There were accusations that the dyno graph posted of the 773 wheel horsepower world record pull did not belong to the vehicle in question, that the pull was not run to redline due to tuning issues, and a host of other ridiculous theories were propagated from people reaching for whatever negativity they could. Well, here is a video of the car setting the record on the Dynojet dyno. Additionally, one can hear the clutches slipping and see the issue is not wheel slip on the dyno or tuning related during the WOT pull.

The transmission is currently being built to handle whatever amount of torque the Vortech YSI is capable of putting out and another pull will be made once that is complete along with a visit to the drag strip. Fanboys can continue to spread negative rumors if they like as Gintani is too busy raising the bar on the E92 M3 S65 V8 platform in the mean time to notice.

Some good news, parts should be coming in the next couple weeks. Once they do and they are installed, the trans should hold whatever we throw at it Click here to enlarge

So then clean pull, new record, and well... judgement day.
So the car will be done, complete, full-kill-mode ready by 9/1/2013? Give or take?

I'm not setting any dates. Kill mode has yet to be tested. I don't want to make any predictions but all indications are with the new parts the DCT will be fine at 18.5 psi at redline.

At higher boost there may be things other than the transmission to worry about so no predictions or timetables but on paper your date seems realistic.

Sticky, if the trans doesn't hold after this build are you done with it or will it be back to the drawing board?

It will hold and I wouldn't just give up. Giving up doesn't solve anything for anyone. I haven't yet and I won't.

Sorry to hear that there is nothing new to share. Is the delay parts-related or labor-related this time?

I'm guessing it has to be the parts. It's a holiday and I'm not bugging anyone today. I'll call and find out this week.

That's a bad ass blower. The only Supercharged Jeep SRT in the 9's is running a YSi.

I have to go to LAX this week so I'll take a small detour and see what's up with the car.

There are in the LX's(car SRT8's). Procharger released it's Jeep kit not too long ago. They slacked. People are having belt issues with just the F1's and D1's. I don't think anyone has gone north of 650rwhp yet to my knowledge. Mostly they've been F1D's though, not X's.

I've run 9's all up and down the East coast but my 9.28 pass was at Virginia Motorsports Park back in April. Haven't run the truck since. I have 2 events coming up Sept. 14th and 21st and our season ending race in Nov. at Atco. Going to try and go for 8's at Atco. Us Florida boys don't get to race in that NE air that much. Lol. Nothing like a little -DA to run in.

People forget what a DA advantage the Northeast has on the rest of the country and apply those slips to the rest as if it is apples to apples.

Yeah I used to get into it with a guy online who lived up in NE back when my Jeep was still NA. I had a few more mods than he did and he would always laugh that he'd ran the same times as I did down here. I kept telling him wait till I come up there. Well, the season ending race is at Atco, NJ. I went 11.80's and he went 12.20's. Spanked that ass. Click here to enlarge
