    • $5k street race between Izzy Performance built motor E85 997.2 turbo versus sandbagging Foxbody Mustang (AV Boys)

Hell of a street race here between a 911 Turbo and a Mustang. It's a street race that was negotiated for $5k and somehow the racers and spectators manage to essentially shut down a public street for the run. On one side you have a 2012 Porsche 997.2 Turbo running E85 and said to be built. That likely means built motor and upgraded turbos. On the other side you have a Foxbody Mustang said to be naturally aspirated with 331 cubes.

On paper, this race should go the 911 Turbo's way especially considering it gets a car length and the hit. That is enough to make one raise their eyebrows and know something is up. The Porsche owner definitely should have known better. Especially considering there are videos online of this same Mustang taking down much stronger opponents like a 900 horsepower Corvette. Know your enemy.

Video is below, enjoy and the Mustang shows why a properly prepped rear wheel drive can beat all wheel drive in a drag race.

Ya it's super elite and baller to run on the track and not try to hustle on the street lol. Yeah, 134, definitely.

I used to Race Superstreet and EZ street with my Mustang. Let me tell you its not since in anyway to get a mustang to leave that hard. and you don't need alot of power. 1/4 mile is just that and your 60 ft is key if you dont leaver good say good bye to the guy in the other lane.
That is not a stock T5 no way in hell. World Class T5 meeeeeehhhh maybe but Liberty T5 possible. I bet my ass i could build a 9 second Mustang with Used parts for less the 20G with the car.
Lighten it up 2500LBS max (very eazy to do)
331CI with a 250 shot off the line Progressive eazy it will go 9.7's at 140. Good tires are a must.

Im build my Porsche for the Purpose of street racing here and when i pull up and raced it here guys always say its a Porsche they don't leave good. Well the Guy in a 10.31 Z06 didnt think that again after he lost.

EASY. Just look at what used parts or even new parts trade for versus non-domestics. It's night and day as stated.

More childish than reving your car to kingdom come in neutral at a car show? I think you're too quick to pass judgement on people. People don't hustle with German cars primarily because it's way too expensive to even be competitive with other cars, PLUS the people expect a Porsche or whatnot to be fast ("hustle?").

Note, I thought the revs were badass.

Yes, way more childish than a tuner revving for a crowd at their booth they paid for because people asked to hear it. Way, way more childish.

People automatically expecting expensive to be fast are stupid and don't know anything about cars. Most likely not the people at a street race.

I have nothing against this Mustang but some balance to some of the ridiculous assertions posted because some people choose not to street race was necessary.

Yeah seriously, lol. I certainly do my fare share of dumb $#@! but WTF, I thought this only happened n F&F movies, lol. I'm not saying these guys don't have money etc......, I just didnt think street racing was this out in the open at a F'ng traffic light, lol

See, makes sense. And you have a 1/4 mile time in your sig, you must be an internet bench racer!!!

lmfao @ car shows....yeah I know what that car does and I'm sure it's never seen a 1/4 mile pass worth mentioning with that power (he avoids the question like the plague). Thanks for confirming it lol. You never know who's in the crowd to call you out lol I love it

Having a 1/4 mile pass (an actual pass...not Pbox) in your sig isn't the same as OVER-GLORIFIED DYNO NUMBERS. But that's just me... A 1/4 mile pass shows what you're doing with the car...a dyno number is a # from a tool used in the tuning process that can vary from tool to tool and doesn't tell ANYONE what the car does. Dyno numbers don't win races...I think anyone would tell you that

The pile that I posted is timeslips run with the car that don't apply to the power you're talking about as I have yet to hit the strip with the power you are referencing making your point irrelevant and idiotic once again.

but yet you've had 773 in your sig for how many months? Like I didn't ALREADY know you had ZERO passes with that power lmao? I just wanted you to say it... But hmm yea ok sticky you win man I don't know what I'm talking about...you're not an internet racer. I really don't care what you do with your car man; I just had an opinion about over glorified dyno numbers posted over the internet without anything behind them. This hit a nerve with you...(you relate I guess)...but I really don't care that much..nor are you going to intimidate me to withdraw it (me not backing down is what hurts you...get over it we don't agree on this it's ok). Have a good one

That's right you don't know what you're talking about as if you clicked the link in the sig you actually might. I don't care what you withdraw or don't withdraw, you think you matter? I can at any point show you who's boss. The real point though is you talked about me without knowing what you are saying making claims about running 134 or 135 in the 1/4 clearly not knowing what has been run or when or with what setup. So, once again, no clue.

Nobody mentioned you or cared about you man..I made a general statement and you showed up like a Public Defender that nobody asked for. You'll get over it...or not; I don't care either way. I certainly don't care about some internet racers opinion of me...

The fact you think I would click on your over-glorified build thread is hilarious...(I just talked about meaningless sigs with dyno numbers and no track times....why would I click an entire thread?) Because it's your site I should care about your car that hasn't done anything?
