  • APR Stage III Golf R before and after Dynojet graph - +179 horsepower

Here is a Stage III Golf R Dynojet graph showing the before and after from stock to the Stage III APR kit. The difference is substantial, huge really. Now keep in mind even though this is a Dynojet graph the numbers are not the at wheels but set to read at the crank which honestly is pretty annoying. It is what it is however and what is important here is the delta. So from 275 horsepower stock the APR Stage III kit takes horsepower to 454.

That is a very healthy gain. Torque rises from 305 pound-feet to 465 pound feet. A gain of 160 pound-feet of torque? That is going to make for a very fun Golf R.

The APR Stage III kit uses a Garrett GTX2867R turbocharger which flows a heck of a lot more up top than the stock turbo. Yes, there is a small sacrifice in lag but it is definitely small and when put in context of the gains more than worth it.

    Dynojet graph below.

It's not BS it's just crank numbers. Unless you are saying it's BS to give crank numbers which I would agree.

i can see why he would call be for crank.

APR's measured clutch power was 265tq on 93oct, this is a full 40ctq lower than this reading.

Still, all about the delta anyways. Lag isn't all that bad. Power is similar at the 2.5 mark, and just explodes at the 3.0 and 3.5 mark. Too bad these things can't rev out to 7.5k
