    • Best car wrap job of all time? Cam-Shaft honors 50 years of the 911 with a Gulf Oil livery 997 Turbo wrap

How cool is this? For those unfamiliar Gulf Oil was a major oil company in the 1900's but was forced to merge with Standard Oil in 1985 which effectively ended the original company existing today mostly as intellectual property. Gulf Oil is famous in Motorsports for its sponsorship of race cars and most people who do not even know about the company will instantly recognize the classic Gulf color scheme as seen on the Porsche 911 Turbo below.

Porsche has a bit of a history with the Gulf livery as their famous 917 Le Mans car wore the Gulf colors. Additionally, actor Steve McQueen drove for the Gulf team in the classic 1971 movie Le Mans.

German company Cam-Shaft decided to wrap this 997 Turbo in the Gulf livery to honor the 50th anniverssary of the Porsche 911. Job well done to say the least.
