• The world's most powerful E92 M3, BimmerBoost.com Gintani Stage 3.5+ supercharged E92 M3 hits 773 wheel horsepower - Dynograph and video

The world horsepower record for the E9X M3 S65 V8 currently stands at 773 wheel horsepower and belongs to Gintani as well as BimmerBoost.com, just do not expect it to stand for very long. At Bimmerfest 2013 Gintani had the BimmerBoost.com project E92 M3 on display. They worked tirelessly to get the car ready for the event and took it to the dyno the night before. On MS109 race gas and 18.5 pounds of boost the car was able to hit 773 wheel horsepower with the completely stock DCT transmission slipping at 7250 rpm.

Looking at the dyno graph below it is easy to see where the clutches begin to slip. At about 4750 rpm the clutch slips a bit then grabs as the pull continues up to 7250 rpm where it slips again and is unable to hold the power as the car is run to its 8500 rpm redline. Regardless, 7250 rpm was enough for a new world record on the S65 V8 platform and overall on the E9X BMW platform.

Gintani will be rebuilding the cars DCT transmission and once that is complete the car will be back on the dyno for a clean run to redline and another world record. Looking at the graph, the car should conservatively be capable of ~830 wheel horsepower at 18.5 psi with MS109. What will it do on FTW Purple and 24 psi? We will eventually find out.

Enjoy the picture and graph below. There is a video included of the car at Bimmerfest 2013. A huge crowd was gathered around it. For some reason the announcer at Bimmerfest never notified the crowd that the world's most powerful E92 M3 was in the house and that a new world record had been achieved on the platform. I waited for hours for the announcement which was hand written and delivered to the announcer but to no avail. Additionally, the car did not win a single award despite being the E92 M3 on display that had the most work done to it. Perhaps it needed some tacky neon green trim and red roundels? Definitely odd and awkward considering the years of engineering that have gone into it and that Gintani was a sponsor of the event. Perhaps if a competitor was not the headline sponsor Gintani and this car would have received the acknowledgement that was deserved and earned?

Congratulations to Gintani on raising the bar to where nobody else on the platform is able to tread. This car is just getting warmed up.

I always knew what it was capable of. I've always been surprised over the years of people who didn't see the potential of the motor with a big centrifugal.

        Thanks for the kind words.

i'm pretty keen on the FTWP results too, dont see many of them ,but when you do, it's always some sort of record broken over any other fuel.

ED: someone on reddit posted that stupid dakar yellow half track half show E90... i had to point out how many other much nicer in more specific ways had to be ignored

then i read this thread and see your car got no mention for it's achievement, because, what's that? i was right about sponsorship > cars.
I saw what you wrote on reddit. Thank you for standing up for BimmerBoost. Here's 100 rep.

no worries, i was just frustrated after reading this thread and seeing that thread go up

i already voiced my negative opinion about that car on bimmerpost when it was first revealed and wondering why everyone was losing their $#@! over it.. it's a nice enough car, easily one of the nicest M3's in the world but it's not show winning level OVERALL imo. show winning cars need the whole package, not just some cosmetic's and boltons.. nor should it be how much the wheels or the seats are worth as some people seem to think.

if it makes you feel even better, slightly more people have been agreeing with me than disagreeing haha

ED: awww $#@! now more people will more easily know my reddit username hahaha

It's a nice car, definitely. It just isn't pushing anything really. Color matched stuff is cool but is that really pushing any envelope? There's a *slight* difficult difference between matching your seatbelt color to your paint and building the S65 V8 block for big boost right?

Heh, if they knew what a built motor setup like this cost... but pretty seats are pretty.

That mentality is what separates us from them though. We are able to see it. They aren't.

I kind of find it amusing though how far behind they tend to be on the big BMW developments. Are they even aware who really has the record and what is being done? Or are they still patting each other on the back for having a painted manifold on a basic SC kit?

Well I figured it out. I didn't win because my car does not have LCI's. Screw the 1000+ hp capable fuel system and upgraded oil pumps, that stuff doesn't count. I have the wrong taillights:

Because this car has much more done to it. The car is the only one in the united states to be a Dakar Yellow sedan and various unique mods done to it. What does that other car have? A built engine with a big blower, not really worthy to win the most modified award. Car you linked doesn't even have LCI taillights on it.

one thing takes money and a skilled shop..

the other takes money.. but even more: time, planning, thought, patience, setbacks, and even more money on top of that...

nah, an akra exhaust BMWP seats, individual paint job etc. and BBS FI makes your build look cheap Click here to enlarge

it's sad, actually knowing even a little bit about cars opens an entire 'nother world of cool things to notice and appreciate. i of course like full detail show car cosmetic builds as much as anyone haha. but then again, the most impressive of them tend to have incredible custom airbag systems, wire tuck jobs etc.

Give me a good wire tuck anyday awwhhhhhh. or something like a singer.

then again, it took me years to learn enough about cars for that... it's easier to build an impressive LOOKING car than otherwise.

        probably not?

the people who would otherwise be aware of that sort of thing might, but has the news spread anywhere really out of bimmerboost? i doubt any of the other bmw forums would publicize the owner of anther forum's car, regardless of how big the achievement is Click here to enlarge

Than solve hardware and software tuning issues for pushing a car to more than twice the horsepower it was designed for originally? Yep, barely. I mean painting plastic trim is tough work.

The users will discuss it. It will spread out. To everywhere except one site but that's find let them bury their heads in the sand. The longer this goes on the more exclusive content BimmerBoost has which means they HAVE to come here to read it.

        that's true

i'm sure given a little time and a few people sharing around, you'll get some enthusiast car sites etc. picking it up

also true, always better to come here for non-exclusive anyway, good stuff usually hits here first haha
