    • BMW F10 550xi dyno results with Dinan Stage 3 N63 software, Active Autowerke downpipes, and Active Autowerke exhaust

Nice dyno results here showing how potent a tuned N63 V8 can be with just bolt on modifications. The car has Dinan Stage 3 software which although more aggressive than the standard Dinan software is not the most aggressive software available for the platform. Still, the software alone versus the baseline provides 45 horsepower at the wheels which for conservative Dinan is definitely a solid gain. This is then combined with the Active Autowerke exhaust and downpipes.

The final result is 406 horsepower at the wheels for a gain of 81 horsepower at the wheels on the more conservative reading Mustang dyno. Solid power and gains. Those with N63 V8's have a lot of power sitting there just waiting to be unleashed.

Graph, pictures, and acceleration videos below.

Basically any custom dyno flash tune.

That acceleration video doesn't look any faster than my 02 wrx wagon daily driver.

You can't really compare it like that the dyno numbers show there are big gains.

I'm just making a comment about the 'perceived' acceleration. Those are good gains though.

thinking if i should track it 1st with out burger tuning tune, and then install it at the track and run again to compare times.

Man it is painful to look at those dynos with power just dropping off the face of the earth so early. It does make you appreciate what the m5/6 did with an engine that atleast continues to pull nicely or atleast remain flat until redline. This is why I hate 99 percent of turbo motors. Big torque and power down low and than bam..nothing if you go past 5k. Might as well get a diesel in my view and save some gas.

Where I find it bad is that it allows BMW to be lazy. They don't have to have perfect heads or cam profiles any longer as they aren't trying to make power at peak. It's just, oh, big boost, torque, and we're done. Nobody thinks of what that torque could do at 8000 rpm if it remained flat.
