The side profile of the car does look a bit awkward but so does the current X6. Considering what a hit the X6 has been the X4 will sell as well especially considering its lower price point of entry and greater efficiency thanks to the lower curb weight afforded by using the X3 platform. Expect it to share the X3 drivetrain as well meaning an N20 turbo four-cylinder for the X4 xDrive28i and then the N55 turbo inline-6 for the X4 xDrive35i.
That begs the questions, will their be an M version? If we get another M SUV before a Z4M BimmerBoost officially gives up all hope in BMW. Pictures below.
