BMW 4-Series production chart leaked - F32 4-Series coupe available with xDrive all wheel drive on 428i,435i F33 4-Series Convertible rear wheel drive only

Here is the leaked production chart for the new BMW 4-Series in F32 (coupe) and F33 (convertible) guises. What is interesting to note is the F32 4-Series coupe will have xDrive all wheel drive available right off the bat for either the 428i or 435i. The F33 Convertible however is available only in all wheel drive and it is unknown if it will gain the xDrive all wheel drive option but considering the F32 coupe already has it xDrive for the convertible eventually seems logical.


The F32 will be produced at BMW's Munich plant whereas the F33 Convertible will be produced at the Regensburg plant which is also located in Bavaria of course in Germany. The F33 will go into production later in the year around November whereas the 2014 model year coupe will be in production from July of this year until June next year before the 2015 model comes.

June of next year would also likely be a good time to introduce all wheel drive on the F33 Convertible for 2015 if BMW chooses to do it. An all wheel drive convertible model sure seems like a good idea for increasing market volume and offering alternatives to Audi.
