    • World Motorsports creating a twin turbo kit for Mercedes 63 AMG Motors (M156/M159) - Prototype SLS AMG Twin Turbo Kit

This is a rather interesting development in the Mercedes-Benz AMG performance scene. Truth is, World Motorsports is a newer name and one not seen on BenzBoost before. A Mercedes SLS AMG Twin Turbo kit certainly is quite a way to make an entrance. They already seem to have the turbos mounted but hardware is only one part of puzzle. What about the tuning? What about the impact of the torque on the SLS dual clutch transmission? These are just some of the problems posed.

World Motorsports is located in Torrance, California and Benzboost was invited out to see what they are up to. A very generous offer as most companies won't allow anyone to visit when they are preparing for a show (SEMA) and wrapping up very difficult work. Apparently they are going to try to make it to SEMA in Las Vegas which is less than three weeks away. Not a long window but it would be impressive if they were to make it.

Plumbing is said to be 80% complete at this point and the car should be hitting the dyno soon. BenzBoost will hopefully be able to provide more info shortly after stopping by the shop. For now, enjoy the development pictures below.

You believe you are always perfect and I misread so you are correct and I was wrong however the message does not change.

You are correct this will go on for 10 pages as you never let someone have the last word which comes back to my point above, you believe you are always perfect.

The irony in all this is that if Joe would just pickup the phone and call Earl this misunderstanding wouldn't be "pissing on his site" and would be resolved quickly.

This is where you always find yourself Joe, with your head so far buried up your ass that you cant understand the point people are trying to make. 1 year later and its the same old Joe. LOL

When I feel you have made a statement that satisfactorily concludes this discussion for all parties involved I will happily grant you the last word. When the last word is based on you attempting to force that position on me, it isn't going to happen. Not here. Not with me.

Come one come all, the more the merrier.

The irony in all of this is yet another person seems to be missing Craig and I have a time and date set. So right now you are doing nothing more than piling on with your head up your ass good sir. Simply attacking for the desire to attack me, not paying any attention to the fact that the reality of the situation is completely different from what you are typing.

So once again, to catch you up to speed, Craig and I will chat and look at his projects at this meet along with many others. That of course being the purpose of a meet, to meet people and chat. The option was left open if he wanted to meet PRIOR to that then he could name a time. I'm guessing he's likely pretty busy with his shop and the holidays, so I don't blame him one bit for not picking an earlier time than his scheduled meet.

Earl interjecting with pointless OT posts creates a misunderstanding that is not necessary. Want to know what else is funny? I don't have Earl's number any longer as I got a new phone so sorry your suggestion wouldn't even work. Also, I don't even like chatting on the phone especially regarding forum drama. I've got a lot of things to do other than call every user with some issue over a forum post.

        Same old propain, too easy.

What was too easy? I was already caught up.

The reality of the situation is exactly as I typed it. If you would learn to be more flexible and understand that not everyone likes the same form of communication as you this could be avoided.

All I see from you is assumptions and statements without merit. "Maybe hes too busy" "I don't want to bother him during the holidays" ect ect. If everyone thought like you business would shut down starting in November and pickup Jan 2nd. I don't know what world you live in but I am making deals on December 24th and the 31st. The holidays.... LOL

I am just pointing out its 1 year later and you are still pissing your members off and still a know it all. I thought Earl and Jim were your friends. Not just a "forum user". My mistake. Either way, carry on with your bad self. You know whats best. Click here to enlarge

Then your post made little sense especially the part about calling Earl over this. It's ridiculous anyone would even need to chat on the phone regarding something as stupid and pointless as this discussion.

There is nothing to avoid, there is no problem, there is no issue. You guys are creating an issue over a damn phone call that doesn't even apply any longer. It's honestly insane.

I'm not going to there to buy products. I'm going to there to chat, interview, photograph, and ask detailed questions. You think I haven't done this before? The question is, have you? I know exactly the time frame I would need to work with and it's best to ask someone in advance if they have that much time to spare.

Really? I'm just supposed to barge in and have everything revolve around me? You all know this is incorrect, I don't even need to explain it.

It is perfectly natural to have disagreements when there are this many personalities in one spot. I'm not having any disagreement with Jim. I am having a disagreement with Earl and that's fine. This is hardly the place you go to for everyone to agree on everything. And yes, I probably do know what's best regarding visiting tuners or shops with intentions as a journalist and not as a consumer.

I have had many disagreements with many forum posters over the years. Its easy when its just text on the screen. Do you know how many arguments I have had with the same forum users on the phone or in person? Zero. There is something to be said about that don't you think?

Look, I'm not saying I'm a journalist I'm saying there is a large difference between going somewhere with intentions as a journalist versus as a consumer. There are aspects of journalism that cross over into this sphere.

Regarding it going to my head, I have been approved as a member of the automotive media for several major events for several years now. If I am going a to a tuner to report back on what I see, hear, or ask along with photos/videos what would you classify that under? Would it be closer to journalism or consumerism? I think the answer is rather logical and has nothing to do with ego as you unfortunately but predictably negatively misconstrued it.

This little additional pointless diatribe by two members taking a thread OT with nothing at all to contribute to the topic rather than vitriol speaks rather poorly of them. Unfortunate they don't see their own actions.

Joe - you are the one who said to use your forum so don't talk krap when I choose to use your suggestion.. An email could have cleared this up instantly.

I could easily drive over there and say hey let's do an interview and let me snap photos of your build. This would literally take a couple hours. You really think it makes sense to go over to a shop and take two hours of their time when I decide to? That's disrespectful.

There is a difference between stopping by to say hello and delving deeply into a project. I'm not a customer in this instance, I'm a reporter. Big difference.

The bickering right now is simply pointless personal jostling. It serves no purpose but I don't mind. The tuning was cleared up. So now I guess we will have 10 more pages of bickering with 1 or 2 good nuggets of tech info thrown in. As seems to be customary in the Mercedes world lol.
Disrespectful... Come on bro, really? After he said its cool to come by ANYTIME? I'll agree to disagree on that one. In terms of the title if you cant see why a shop wouldnt take the word "claiming" as an insult then you're in the wrong business. It would be no less than another site posting a thread/article. Stating "BimmerBoost claiming to have the fastest E9X M3 on the internet" You would not likely be pleased, particularly if you had not provided the information or spoke to anyone about it. Yet your pic and car show up there. The context could be taken the wrong way. As opposed to saying something like "World Motorsports Twin Turbo SLS Project" or "Is World Motorsports building a TT SLS" etc... Again the title in my view wasnt meant to be malicious. However you should be able to understand where the builder may take offense to it. Though in my view he was a good sport about it until it got a silly as it always does around here.

I say again, cool project thats gonna be a bad ass ride.

Do us all a favor and drop by, if you he blows you off its clear grounds to call BS on the shops claims.

Then you should have e-mailed me. I can not speak to every member individually at all times of the day. I'm pretty liberal with my time for members as is. I'm sure you can attest to that.

I said I prefer forum communication which I do. For example, right now I'm typing to you on my ipad while drawing a bath. That really wouldn't work too well over the phone.

Regardless, I think it makes complete logical sense to say there is a difference between being on topic and communicating in an OT manner in a thread. There is a dispute resolution forum created specifically to resolve issues such as this and if you wish to use it by all means go ahead, that's why it's there.

Yes it's disrespectful to show up anytime. What about towards the end of the day? I walk in with my camera and a notebook full of questions after he has been working all day and looking forward to going home and having dinner. You don't show up somewhere out of the blue, it's disrespectful. Obviously you are intelligent enough to understand the statement was not to be interpreted literally as showing up whenever (what, you go there at 2 AM?) but as an open invitation to schedule something.

Regarding your post on wording, um:

World Motorsports creating a twin turbo kit for Mercedes 63 AMG Motors (M156/M159) - Prototype SLS AMG Twin Turbo Kit

        http://www.benzboost.com/content.php...Twin-Turbo-Kit

Seems to me that is very fair and clear? You seem to be confusing an early thread title with the actual article title, hopefully it's more clear to you now.

Thats all I am saying about picking up the phone or other forms of communication. Open arguments like this serve one purpose. Ego. Who can get the upper hand in a public debate. It never gets anywhere. He with the most friends wins most of the time.

There is a difference. I agree and you would be going more as a journalist than a consumer. I have heard of journalists and reporters going to any length to pickup a story however. Especially if the audience wants to read about that story. A journalist wouldn't put limitations on communication. They go to any length to get the story rather than miss out on it and have someone else do it before them. You do provide info on this site but in most cases its not ground breaking info that someone cant find anywhere else. Being to first to write on article goes a long way.

There seems to be a bit of ego involved here. I think you feel he should call you. Maybe you feel you are doing him the favor and not the other way around. You are an information source and he needs to get the info out. Its a symbiotic relationship. Maybe I am reading to much into that.

What greater length do I need to go to than going there as I already intended? I'm sure some journalists go all out but silly me I respect things like the holidays and other peoples time. So I'm glad I don't have to act like a full time journalist who lives or dies based on their story. In this instance, the story will still take place and I don't have to go to any extra lengths which may serve to just cause pointless waves. Plus it also serves as promotion for the shop. So it's not quite as clear cut and dry as you make it.

No. I feel that Craig was pretty negative so I have no desire to push anything on him as he took a very negative stance to begin with. I think it's better for all parties to simply go to a meet and introduce myself with no pressure. It was left open ended that if he had a desire to showcase this build before then, which maybe there is a bit of work left on it, he could at any time post here hey come by this day, call me to set up a date, pm me, e-mail me, post on facebook, whatever. He hasn't done any of those thigns which leads me to believe it's best not to press or be rude as if I were entitled.

Earl, clearly I'm not perfect as if I was I would be psychic and understand exactly what you expect me to do and what would be best for you.

This may sound odd to you, but I'm the administrator here. If you have an issue, come to me. I can't predict what course of action is best for you.

Just as I could take the time to send you an e-mail, although I have thousands of users to deal with on a daily basis, you could take the time to send an e-mail to me as well. Or we could post on the forum and resolve it. Or we could PM. Or we could use the dispute resolution forum. Regardless, I can't possibly always choose the right course of action or combination of words for every single person on this site at all times. If I could do that I would be the world's best psychologist and psychoanalyst.

Regardless, I don't think whole ordeal was even remotely necessary and I do believe you instigated it. Regardless, it's irrelevant and it doesn't bother me.

What is with this lecture? Respecting other peoples opinions? Last I checked this site does that to a greater degree than any other. It respects peoples opinions too much at times which is a criticism I often get for leaving discussion far too open. So what are you talking about? Me disagreeing and defending myself is not me being disrespectful to your opinion.
