    • ALMS 2012 - Porsche 911 GT3 takes the victory at the Baltimore GT, overall standings with 2 races left

Well, only two races are left in the 2012 ALMS season. Those two races being the Virginia International Raceway 240 on September 15th and the Petit Le Mans on October 20th. Porsche scored a large victory at this past weekends Baltimore GP with factory drivers Bryan Sellers and Wolf Henzler taking the victory. Chevy and Ferrari finished in 2nd and 3rd respectively to round out the top 3 and Porsche inched closer to second place BMW in the standings.

The way things look after Baltimore is Chevrolet retains first with 145 points, BMW remains in second with 126, and Porsche is in third with 123 points. Things are tightening up but it will take a strong effort by either Porsche or BMW to take the lead from Chevrolet who seems to be in position to upset BMW's chances at an ALMS three-peat.

The current standings and race results are below.
