• Renntech C74 widebody W204 C63 AMG with prototype heads and cam upgrades runs 10.7@132.91

A very impressive result for a naturally aspirated M156. This W204 C63 AMG features the Renntech C74 widebody kit. In addition the vehicle has prototype Renntech camshafts, Renntech ported cylinder heads, long tube headers, a prototype intake manifold, race exhaust, built transmission, limited slip diff, weight loss (unknown to what extent), and a Renntech race tune. This is a very strong result for a naturally aspirated M156 especially at PBIR (Palm Beach International Raceway). Video of the run is below and we expect this work in progress to get even faster.

Isn't it just a variation of the SLS intake?

On first look yes, but it turns out there are a lot of customizations and modifications involved to get it to work properly.... then of course after you do get it working, you still need an extensive testing and data acquisition phase to dial it in for optimum performance. This was not an easy task and RENNtech has been working on it for some time. And despite popular belief, this is not one of those "order a part then slap it on" scenarios.

i will agree with you that the products are nice but the prices they put on those products is what i would say is a little high . if they dropped their prices , i'm sure they would have stuff flying off the shelves .

There are a few vendors out there that are stepping up to the plate. Like badbenz says there products obviously speak for themselves but you only hear of so called shop cars at the track with 10s of thousands of dollars worth of prototype products which only half are ever listed and never released. To the public

The development on these products is a huge investment. You can't fault them for not releasing prototype parts.
