    • Sievers Tuning builds a McLaren SLR 722 GT clone that is street legal with 814 horsepower

Not familiar with the McLaren SLR 722 GT? No worries, it is a track only and tuned version of the SLR 722 built specifically for a one make racing series. It is not a street legal SLR. Only 21 were made and they feature less weight, more power, and wider body work designed for the track. In comes Sievers Tuning who built their own version calling it the SLR 722 GTB which is basically a SLR 722 GT that is street legal.

They take a stock McLaren SLR 722 and built it in a similar manner to Ray Mallock Motorsport based in the UK did. This means replacing every body panel and stripping the car down. While the standard 722 GT puts out 670 horsepower and 610 pound-feet of torque the Sievers version puts out 814 horsepower and 885 pound-feet of torque. Impressive? Sure is.

How much for all of this? Only 1.2 million Euros. If you already have an SLR 722 chances are you can swing it.

I hear you but this is at least function over form and taking it to a very high level for track performance.

I worked with TRG on what was supposed to be a World Challenge SLR last year, and then the project died. Still bummed about that; the car was going to be really cool. Wonder whatever happened to that car?
