    • Horspower Freaks (HPF) 335i N54 single turbo kit update - HPF aiming to get the N54 over 800 wheel horsepower

News on the HPF single turbo 335 N54 kit had died down for a while but HPF renewed interest by posting photos of their currently development. Rest assured, it is coming. What struck us is that Chris (owner of HPF) stated they intend to get this motor over 800 wheel horsepower. A lofty goal indeed as fueling and tuning solutions still need to take place. If anyone is going to make it happen it looks like a good bet is HPF.

OK, not to kick in a really open door, but 800 hp with a N54?
With what fueling solution is this gonna happen?

What about internals ? Will this be a built engine (forged pistons, rods ), and will you keep the original compression ?

For their big plans of 800+ I would think a built motor is a given.

Hey, it's ok. We've all gotten our asses kicked by a hot girl when we were younger. Well, this is an internet forum, so not all of us but you get my point.

So this DOC Race turbo manifold looks great. Manged to land in a Honda forum where the person who fabricated it is active. Now we haven't discussed it here but the Honda guys are pretty convinced that with the way this manifold is setup that it will have uncontrollable boost creep which could be a problem. Thoughts?

Wastegate is welded to one runner, the gas from all 6 runners needs a direct shot to the wastegate for good boost control. This may sound funny, but integral wastegates are the best in this regard.

        True.

I will say this though HPF now seems to be aggressively going after this and I am happy to see it. I have faith they will get it done seeing what they did with the S54.
