    • Weistec oil / air separater available for M156 and M159 (63 AMG) motors - $529.99

This oil and air seperator can be used on stock cars to cars that are highly modified even with superchargers. What does it do? It reduces oil retention by the engine and reduces knock. Essentially, better for your motor assisting longevity and acting as a preventative measure. From Weistec, "As the excess crankcase pressure is vented through the PCV valve and into the intake manifold the engine will eventually draw in, not only air which is wanted, but also particles of aerated oil which creates instability in power due to the low octane level of oil."

      Key Features:
      • Eliminates the anti octane properties of oil
      • CNC machined 6061 aluminum
      • Hard anodized to military spec
      • Direct bolt in for M156/M159 vehicles
      • Utilizes brass filter elements
      • 100% serviceable
      • Flexible and reversible mounting and installation

Pictured below is a typical intake manifold from an M156 engine after 8,500miles (13,700Km). It is very clear the amount of oil that is being drawn in by the engine.

Please contact @Weistec for any questions or to order.

Does anyone have a quick list of tools needed for this install?

I just received this kit(work of art) today and it did not have any instructions. Would like to be prepared for when I decide to tackle this.

        Thanks in advance.

        Applies to both:

        Definately applies to both.

Weistec included a longer hose in their kit in case I wanted to mount it on the backside of the passenger headlight. A nice option.

Judging by this SLS weistec's supercharger in France (labelled KLEEMAN), the m159 engine could get good help from the catch can. The manifold is an oil bathtube.

Oil/Air Separator = Big word for Oil Catch Can?

        Nice looking piece

Gentlemen, our Oil /Air Separator is a must have for both N/A and supercharged cars. The SLS intake manifold is a great depiction of how much oil actually runs through these engines. If one were to take the factory M156 intake manifold apart they would see the same thing.

An oil catch can typically has a breather on it, were as our unit is closed loop. This way you won't get the crankcase fumes in the engine bay and it can properly work with the Mercedes electronics. Hope this help. Thanks guys.

        Gentlemen,

Here is a very good picture from our website of a factory SLS manifold filled with oil. This is simply us removing the top lid. Thanks.
