    • Speedriven to offer M275 V12 Garrett Ball Bearing gt3582r based turbo upgrades capable of 1000+ horsepower

It has a taken a while but Mercedes M275 V12 turbo modification is picking up steam and getting to the level we had hoped we would see. Speedriven will offer Garret GT28, GT30, and GT35R upgrade packages with custom stainless steel manifolds. Even 91 pump may be good for close to the 800 whp range. Transmission upgrades for the big boy turbos will be a must. Great to see a company finally giving the V12 the turbos it deserves but we want to see dynos and 1/4 mile runs to back up the claims.

Good point but maybe for the extra displacement and better brakes.

Any updates on the turbo upgrades? I would love to see what kind of numbers produced from 93 octane.

Speeddriven seems to be showing some impressive results with upgraded turbos.

I have seen the dyno sheet and the numbers are less than VRP825 package numbers. that is why I was wondering about a more recent developement.

Car has been running for last couple weeks now. We had quite a few issues with the trans staying in gear, but that seems to be under control at this time. The current turbos are actually 3076r, but the 3582r set will probably be going on over the winter. Might be hitting the dyno end of this week or sometime next week. Also got a vbox in the car so will be looking to get some data soon. Mounted a boost gauge and a gopro so that all the concerns about lag and drivability can be put to rest.

In regards to the VRP kit. We were initially making the kits for them until they went silent and dissapeared. As for the horsepower number that were released with the initial kits, that was on one dyno that were not duplicated on any other dyno. It was one happy dynojet. Every other dyno we went to the cars made consistant 640-650whp. The 700whp dyno sheets that were posted up everywhere were a one time occurance since we stopped using that dyno facility.

I'm so happy to get a reply back.

The VRP kit is very impressive. At, say, 645whp with 17% lost that equates to roughly 777 crank hp. I would love to see what the new turbos will produced. I was going purchased the VRP pacakge until I saw your current project. I am a speed freak, and I want my CL to crush all the GT-R out there. Please keep the update coming, I am sure many CL600 and CL65 owners are holding their breath, so please don't let us suffocate.

I just picked up a 03 CL600, with AMG / Sport package and the PO added the full AMG brakes, so I'm very happy with it. Next up ECU / TCU tune, cooling upgrades, wheels....

Why purchase VRP anything? Sounds like this set of upgraded turbos is going to be the way to go.

        Thank you Marcin.

BTW, great work with Jody's car. I can't wait to see what that monster runs this fall/winter. Keep it up!

        Thanks

Marcin, do you guys have any dyno numbers for the various turbo sizes? Very interested to see what these are doing.

If its ok with sticky ill post a couple. We are still waiting for the gt35 turbos. But the gt30s are doing very well. The problems that I am dealing with is torque converters. Blew through a few of them with no luck. The cars that are on the road right now are detuned to about 700whp. If i get it up to 780-830whp converter gives in and either limpmode or tq balloons. Im hoping to get it resolved in time for texas this fall but we will see. Im gonna have the next couple weeks tied up finishing tuning on the 55 blower kit. Than i can focus back on the v12 stuff. Maybe ill have a set of 35s in by than too. The extra lagg would probably help the converter down low.

It's fine with me go right ahead.

These are the old 5-speeds though, they should be able to be built to take whatever you throw at them.

Wow that's crazy, these things sound like they eat transmissions at will...crazy power. Can't wait to see what happens. I think I know the guy whose 55 your blower is going on...I'm going to yell at him for diverting attention away from the V12s haha. Great work so far.
