• Confirmed - C63 AMG Black Series will receive tuned M156 6.2 liter V8 around 510 horsepower, $100k base

A Mercedes-Benz AMG inside source has confirmed the M156 V8 in a higher state of tune will be used in the C63 AMG Black Series. MotorAuthority and InsideLine who reported they confirmed an M157 twin turbo V8 would be used were wrong. It would appear P31 or SLS forged engine internals will be standard. It will not be an M159 (SLS motor) but will likely share similarities such as the heads but not the SLS intake manifold or airboxes due to not being able to fit in the C engine bay. Base price is expected to be $100k.

you are correct , and for the $100k , i will take my own creation over the BS . actually , i might even take the 2012 GTR over the BS ( although i might be lying about the GTR cuz i am such a huge Mercedes fan ) . with all this said , i would love to see the BS in person or in action . it's just not my cup of tea as far as a purchase goes .

Another guy who is clueless about cycling.Click here to enlarge Lance won so many races before he hit his 20th birthday. Won the worlds, nationals, winning many races here in the U.S.A. It was too easy here so he went to europe to race and became the only man who won the Tour de France 7 times.

Not to try the subject but ANYONE could run the 1/4 mile and get a #. Get on a bicycle and win races at the top level-separates the men from the boys. It takes dedication, lots of training to become a winner. Never comes over night.

        This is a ridiculous comparison.

Anyone can get on a bike too but not everyone can win and not everyone can set a good 1/4 mile time or win a motorsports event.

You think Formula 1 drivers are made overnight? Come on, this is absurd.

I said the 1/4 mile. All it takes is practice. Get a high hp car and run 9sec,10sec or whatever. F1 drivers takes great skill bro.

Exactly, there is skill in all of these aspects.

I don't think this is even relevant. I understand cycling is difficult but it does not apply to this thread.

Its been a while since I read his book but did he not specifically say that his body changed because of the cancer and treatment? How he was competiting against the worlds best, but that he was not beating them before the cancer. Sure he won races, and was great on the bike before the cancer. But he was better/faster after. He was top 10 in the world before cancer but he was the best in the world for years after cancer!

You don't have to read his book. I didn't,but I did follow his history during my racing years. He won the world championship road race at the age of 21. Also he won the triple crown million dollar. Meaning he won all 3 biggest races in the U.S.A in the same year. He did this in his mid 20s. He was still young and learning. As he got more experience he became the best.
This guy was no ordinary man. I knew he was going to be the best in the world by winning all those Tour de France races.

Lets not start this again. I only did maybe several passes with DR and bogged. I have the same car as any C63 tuned car. Its no brainer that the times will be there. Dont have to be a rocket scientist to figure that out.Click here to enlarge

Oh forgot to mention his cancer. Which had nothing to do with his winnings. He was winning the big ones in europe before he even got cancer. Cancer was suppose to slow him down. But apparently it didnt.
