The 991 Generation Porsche 911 is a beautiful car right off the showroom floor. As well know with all the variants of the model Porsche themselves produces the 911's looks can be changed quite a bit with the right bodywork. What you see below would quality as the right bodywork as Vorsteiner did a photoshoot of a Porsche 991 Carrera S with their V-GT bodykit in carbon fiber finish and their Flow Forged wheels. ...Published on 10-15-2013 02:10 AM
By now you should know Porsche is returning to challenge for the overall victory at Le Mans with an LMP1 car for 2014. Porsche made this announcement way back in 2011 and since then has been steadily updating the public with their progress. Most recently, Porsche showed off pictures of their LMP1 car with a press release less than a couple months ago. The video below is the latest update showing the entire 120 member team effort. ...Published on 10-10-2013 06:21 PM
Great video here from the recent Shift-Sector roll on race event that took place this past weekend at the Coalinga, California airstrip. In this race video you have a BMW M3 taking on a Porsche 911 turbo. The Porsche is a 997.1 Turbo model with an automatic transmission (the PDK dual clutch was not available for the 997.1 Turbo models). It features GIAC ECU tuning and upgraded turbochargers courtesy of 68mm VTG turbos from Champion Motorsports. ...Published on 10-02-2013 05:02 PM
Ok Porsche, you know how to do some pretty cool marketing. Here is a fine example of Porsche honoring the 50th birthday of the iconic 911 with what they are calling, "Creating a symphony with 7 generations of Porsche 911." Symphony may be a bit of stretch but the result is undeniably awesome as all seven generations of the Porsche 911 gather in a row and rev to play out the traditional "Happy Birthday to You" song. ...Published on 09-30-2013 07:11 PM
Nice to see a daytime run video from "Mexico" for once. In one corner is a 996 Turbo tuned by well known Porsche tuner Protomotive with a claimed 1000+ horsepower. In the other is an LP-560 Spyder with a Twin Turbo setup from famed tuned Underground Racing. Keep in mind with either of these cars the horsepower can be quite up there and there are no specific numbers shown likely for the reason of the owners not wanting the competition to know. ...Published on 09-25-2013 10:48 AM
Porsche 911 versus Chevrolet Corvette is a never ending battle that repeats itself with every new generation and iteration of these cars. A comparison between the two is pretty much expected and Edmunds already compared these two vehicles earlier this year. Now MotorTrend gets their turn for the comparison but they threw a wildcard into the mix. Is anyone cross shopping a Ferrari F12 Berlinetta with a 911 or Corvette? No. Do we care? No. ...Published on 09-25-2013 06:52 AM
The new 911 Turbo already made its debut in May of this year and now it is followed by the convertible version as is standard Porsche practice. Just like the coupe, the cabriolet is available in Turbo and Turbo S trim. That means a 520 horsepower standard model and then 560 horsepower for the S version. The drivetrain remains exactly the same as the coupe with the same engine, output, and PDK dual clutch transmission. ...
