• Preliminary Weistec Supercharged M156 CLK63 Black Series Dyno Results - 640 wheel horsepower

Here are the preliminary results for JRCART's CLK63 Black Series running the Weistec supercharger. The car has the Weistec race supercharger package which includes the Weistec heads, cams, and fuel system including larger injectors. The car ran 14.5 psi of boost on stock internals which is incredible really. That is a lot of boost for the stock internals to handle. The tires were slipping on the dyno due to the power which can be seen in the graph so these are just preliminary results. They will be trying again with new rubber in the next few days and likely hitting the 7XX whp range.

Id play with C mode to get it to start in second and feather the throttle off the line, then hit the trans mode button again and throw it into S for the rest of the run. Or, with more practice, M mode all the way short shifting in first. But that'll take prob 10 runs or so to get it right. Either way - records will fall and Jims ricer hooptie will prevail Click here to enlarge
On the street you're right, first gear will be a joke, but at the strip with a well prepped box on slicks or drag radials it should be fine, especially when paired with the new drag suspension set up. I'm hoping for sub 1.50 60 footers.

Axles are not a major concern, I was sparaying nitrous and making 620rwhp with MT Streets ET's right out of the hole and never snapped an axle however it was not making nearly as much torque, I still don't think the axles will be the weak link.
Good luck brother! Looking forward to the results.

Put some Drags on this thing and get it to the track. Bets on what it explodes first? I think the engine can handle it but the drivetrain..... Any upgrades to the tranny, axles or Rear?
I'm impressed the rods are taking that, a positive displacement isn't easy on internals.

        The drivetrain is another question.

Are the cams from the SLS/M159? Or aftermarket?
I believe the cams are Weistec's own?

Very cool, Jim. I bet you're excited.

I don't really care about dyno numbers, as you know I'm a track and MPH guy for that stuff. But the first thing I normally look at with these graphs, is the A/F. Looks like your right around 11.8 or so......and that looks just fine to me. Click here to enlarge

Air fuel does look pretty good.

This is definitely a game changer.... Jim always takes things to the next level Click here to enlarge

Congrats man, these are great numbers Click here to enlarge

By the way, whatever ET and Trap speeds you get at Fontana, make sure you subtract at least 0.4 seconds off the ET and add at least 4 mph to trap speeds Click here to enlarge

I went to Formosa a long time ago with my 95 mustang cobra and 996 C4 ...trapped around 96-98 in the cobra and 102-104 in the 996. I always remember people saying its a slow track.

Famoso is generally slow for most of the year. It is only fast from November to January, and unfortunately that's when the track is closed. This works out for us though because we only rented privately during those times Click here to enlarge

The owners of Famoso just renovated both lanes.... they removed all the asphalt and re-did the entire track in concrete a couple of months ago, which should provide a much smoother ride and hopefully less drag Click here to enlarge

By the way, Jim is headed to Fontana not Famoso. Fontana is much slower than Famoso. In fact, now that LACR is closed, I think Fontana is rated the slowest track in California.

Concrete makes for less drag than asphalt?

We need to get a group together and open up our own track in SoCal. We don't have a single good track.

You do get screwed in Southern California. It makes no sense, you are in the car capital of America (everyone drives) and you do not have one good drag strip. Pomona is only allowed to have a few races a year and even Pomona is noting to write home about. Here is the tri-state area we are blessed with so many good facilities in close proximity to us, it's amazing.

Good luck at the track with your new beast and have some fun no matter how fast she goes. I'm sure you will have a big smile on your face when you are driving.

I don't get it either Click here to enlarge I guess now is not the time in the economy to get an investment group together although I would like to. If some people could commit I would put in the work to make it happen.

CLK63BS is from 2008, before P31 (or production versions of the M159) existed.
