CNN has (is) become a bad joke. Pity we never see who is pulling the strings behind the curtains. If it were not for President Trump, CNN and Bill Maher would be reporting on how dogs shit on sidewalks in NYC for front page news.

This network of websites never shies away from reporting what is truly going on in the aftermarket industry. It is a very dirty industry with many people ripping each other off and stabbing each other in the back for profit. That is no surprise to anyone. It is also no surprise to receive legal threats when reporting something certain companies do not want you to see. Legal threats from ESS-Tuning in particular are nothing new. They did this back in 2011 when BimmerBoost shared photos of a blown motor. Absjorn Bohn who is the owner stated he would take pleasure in hurting me and in addition hurting my family: Classy guy, right? Nothing ever came of that threat or any legal threat from anyone because if you tell the truth you have nothing to fear. This latest action is in response to the article BoostAddict posted regarding ESS-Tuning copying the VF-Engineering 5.2 liter Audi/Lamborghini V10 supercharger design. BoostAddict of course has made VF-Engineering aware of this threat. Amusingly, ESS-Tuning contacted BoostAddict in the beginning of this year hoping to, well, likely keep such a story from ever appearing: Let me make it crystal clear. I will not be bullied, threatened, intimidated, or otherwise kept from doing my job as a free and open press is a cornerstone of American values. I will continue to report any dealings that are illegal, dishonest, or just downright theft along with the usual array of positive automotive news. I will not take part in sweeping anything under the rug so that someone can make money at someone else's expense. If ESS wishes to press the matter BoostAddict.com is more than happy to revel in the additional attention and traffic generated. The article stays. Period.

Isn't Maybach supposed to be a bit absurd? Expensive, powerful, and the car is supposed to make a statement. Mercedes pulled the plug on Maybach in 2013 only to start talking about bringing the brand back in late 2014. Maybach failed because the vehicles were nothing more than an expensive S-Class. Why people paid a huge premium for the same drivetrain you could get in an S600 with just a tweaked design is anyone's guess. Nobody is crying for wealthy people blowing money on bad purchases. What you see here though is what Maybach should be striving for. Its own identity and premium cars that are not just a reskinned Mercedes. This Vision 6 Cabriolet unfortunately will not be built. This is just a design study. A fantastic design study on what could be an amazing 750 horsepower all-electric convertible but it will remain a concept. A shame, isn't it? Not that this is something most of us would be in the market for but it is indeed gorgeous. Thanks for the teaser Mercedes. Now good luck trying to get anyone to care about Maybach without any cars to care about.

This is your new class of hot hatchbacks. All of them are turbocharged but there are differences among them. For one, the RS3 has the largest motor with a 2.5 liter I5 and it also has the most power. It shows. None of these other cars can hang with it. The A45 AMG of course is all wheel drive with a dual clutch transmission and a 2.0 liter turbocharged M133 powerplant. Producing 381 horsepower it is the most powerful production four-cylinder on the planet. The Golf R is also all wheel drive with a dual clutch transmission and a 2.0 liter turbocharged four-cylinder but the engine is much, much weaker. Good thing it responds well to tuning. The Focus RS does not offer a dual clutch transmission but is manual only because it is a driver's car. So what if it isn't the fastest? It is the enthusiast's choice. There is also the Civic Type R which is a Honda boy racer's dream. With 306 horsepower and front wheel drive it does not fair well in the drag race. Let's take a look at the results. Drag Race: 1. RS3 - 12.2 2. A45 - 12.9 3. Focus RS - 13.5 4. Civic Type R - 14.0 5. Golf R - 14.0 Roll Race: 1. RS3 2. A45 3. Civic Type R 4. Focus RS 5. Golf R No trap speeds as usual and racing in the wet so the all wheel drive cars were favored but it is what it is.

It's like there was nothing too low for them to go for. They destroyed their credibility and they wonder why people call them fake news.
